We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client's behalf for a person in the following role:
Technical Leader
Responsibilities:
- Act as the technical leader for application migration projects within the data center migration program.- Collaborate with project managers, application SMEs, architects, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless migration processes.
- Analyze and document the current state of applications ("as-is").
- Define migration goals and strategies, including transformations like containerization, infrastructure upgrades, or component updates.
- Design and document target architectures and detailed migration plans for applications and grouped clusters (“buckets”)
- Refactor and adapt application code to align with the target architecture, including middleware and dependency upgrades.
- Build and configure environments (DEV, QA, UAT, CAT, PROD, DR) in the target data centers.
- Address network, firewall, and load balancing requirements, and manage middleware/database configurations
- Conduct testing, including deployment testing, PEN testing, and integration testing.
- Ensure all certifications (internal and external) are completed as per requirements.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation (using Confluence) on the solution architecture, migration strategy, and technical processes.
- Plan and execute production migrations, avoiding high-risk approaches like "big bang" deployments.
- Decommission old environments after successful migrations.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in application migrations or similar technical roles.- Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with application deployment in AWS or Azure environments.
- Tools & Technologies:Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Kubernetes), and related DevOps tools.
- Broad understanding of IT infrastructure, including load balancing, TLS, and network configurations.
- Knowledge of middleware, databases, and integration technologies (e.g., Integration Service Bus, batch schedulers).
- Systems Understanding: Experience with real-time transaction systems and batch processing systems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Polish language skills are an advantage.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a goal-oriented mindset.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Leadership: Proactive and able to guide teams through complex migration projects.
