Vendor Manager

This role will be within the Digital Identity Value Stream, which is responsible for a suite of capabilities supporting millions of customers every year, across multiple countries and journeys.
One of our most strategic products is the global digital identity validation & authentication service that provides any market with the ability to verify a person’s identity.  We partner with some of the most innovative external vendors from around the world to provide real time identity and anti-impersonation checks as part of a digital journey. Our product enables customer to capture their government issued identity document (including passport, driver’s license, national ID card) and verifies the document’s authenticity. This is then combined with a fully digital anti-impersonation check.
 
The Vendor Manager will be responsible for supporting the management of some key aspects of the digital identity platform. The role will have two primary areas of responsibility – control management and vendor management. 
 
What will you do:
You will ensure all applicable control monitoring systems are maintained with relevant information about the control shared with the various risk teams across the bank. You will also manage the vendor relationships within the digital identity. The platform supports multiple third party vendors and you will be:
• Full oversight of the Identity platform control
• Make sure that necessary identity platform control documentation is created, reviewed, approved and uploaded into proper systems
• Design material operational control details, having in mind a balance of key measures, activities and tools to ensure continuous monitoring of control effectiveness as well as implementing effective remediation plans when necessary
• Review any RCAs (Risk and Control Assessments) before they are scoped and loaded in relevant systems
• Manage all third party engagements for the identity platform
• Own the platform third party management oversight and governance requirements
• Drive the remediation of all relevant issues identified that relate to Identity Platform Control
• Provide senior managers with key metrics and data that will give visibility on the identity platform Control environment
• Work closely with market stakeholders to ensure the markets are kept informed of the control statuses and advise/direct them to identify the correct processes and control implementation
• Work with Risk Stewards, Assurance teams and internal audit where necessary
• Manage our vendor relationships and engagement with the various vendor relationship managers
• Be the principal point of contact for any Identity Platform Control matters for all global stakeholders

Requirements:

• Background in risk and control management and / or internal audit working with multiple geographies
• Experience of implementing or managing global control frameworks within complex environments would be a significant advantage
• Ability to define and implement a vision and strategy for the Control and communicate to key stakeholders and obtain their buy-in
• Ability to interpret complex information and translate it into something more accessible for a non-technical audience
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with experience in a complex global environment
• Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
• Strong administrative skills with an attention to detail
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment with proven ability to handle multiple outputs at one time
