We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client's behalf for a person in the following role:

Site Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities:

The SRE team member will be responsible for driving and developing infrastructure capabilities within the OB cloud solutions that will provide automated functionalities that will be resilient and self-serving in nature. They will be well versed in AWS cloud having experience on creating and maintaining the cloud infrastructure. They will create and maintain the CI/CD infrastructure, the application and network infrastructure, configure security controls for the OB platform. They will work with the IT system analyst, Engineering team and SRE engineers to understand the requirements and translate the requirements into various capabilities that will allow reduction of toil and automation of routine tasks. The engineers will also be responsible for ensuring the monitoring and alerting framework which will
allow the SRE team to detect issues on the platform and mitigate them in a timely and efficient manner. They will keep up to date with the latest developments in AWS services, IaC, CI/ CD and automation solutions.

Your key responsibilities include:
Creating and maintaining CI/CD infrastructure and application/network infrastructure.
Configuring security controls for the OB platform.
Collaborating with IT system analysts, the Engineering team, and SRE engineers to translate requirements into automation capabilities.
Reducing toil and automating routine tasks.
Ensuring effective monitoring and alerting frameworks for timely issue detection and mitigation.
Keeping up to date with AWS services, IaC, CI/CD, and automation solutions.

Requirements:

Technical Skills:
Proficient in AWS DevOps (Route 53, VPC, S3, IAM, EC2, ELB, RDS, EKS, Lambda, API gateway, AWS Session Manager)
Experienced with Jenkins Automation
Skilled in Terraforming AWS environment stack builds
Knowledgeable in Linux, Nginx and Squid administration
Proficient in Python or Node and Shell Scripting
Familiar with logging and monitoring tools like Splunk, App Dynamics, CloudWatch
Experienced with ALM tools – Jira, GitHub, Confluence
Strong understanding of security concepts
Strong network skills, including subnets, firewalls, IP ranges, CIDR blocks, route design, NACLs, application clustering, load balancing, and high availability concepts
Understanding of IAAS, PAAS, FAAS concepts, server, and application configuration technologies

Non Technical Skills:
Clear verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Team player capable of working across teams in different geographies
Self-motivated with a drive to learn and adapt to new challenges
