We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client's behalf for a person in the following role:

GCP Data / Platform Engineer

We are looking for an experienced GCP Data / Platform Engineer to support various tasks related with development, analysis and maintenance of data processes on top of data platforms maintained by the team in GCP.
The job tasks could be related to analysis of data engineering pipelines, refactoring of pipelines, migration of processes between platforms and technologies, and following or establishing best practices for data engineering. An ideal candidate will have also a very good understanding of CI/CD processes and will be able to support Data Operations (DataOps).


• Experience with Spark (either Python or Scala)
• General programming skills
• Data analytics skills
• Very good general analytical skills
• Experience with GCP data services (especially: BigQuery, Dataproc)
• Understanding of cost and performance within GCP
• Experience with reporting tools development
• Communication and collaboration skills (co-operation with various technical and business teams is required on daily basis) and problem solving

Nice to have:
• Understanding of Airflow (DAGs development and system administration)
• Experience with development in CI/CD tools and IaaC
• Understanding of SRE, Service Management, application life-cycle management
