We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client's behalf for a person in the following role:

Quant Developer

Responsibilities:

• Consistently produce robust and meaningful prototypes that support the assessment of the feasibility of strategic and tactical ideas for analytics.
• Actively employ proven methods for managing software development.
• Maintain technical documentation throughout the prototyping and core development processes.
• Provide fact-based defense for prototypes when challenged.
• Handle sudden changes in requirements and general scope ambiguity when operating in an exploratory mode.
• Assist in identifying and retaining developer talent within the broader team.
• Collaborate with the abstract formalisms utilized by quantitatively-trained modelers and mathematicians.

Requirements:

•MSc or PhD in a technical field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Operational Research
and/or Information Systems (Informatics)
• Demonstrated 3-5 years of experience building, and testing applications in a professional environment
•Substantive and consistent experience developing applications using an object oriented programming language (e.g. Java, C++, C# or Python)
•Some experience programming in a mathematical or engineering technical environment (such as MATLAB)
• Experience developing in an Agile environment with preferably some experience with continuous integration practices
•Familiarity with algorithms for capturing and processing large datasets (i.e. Map/Reduce)
