Agile Business Analyst

The purpose of the role is to support delivery of projects for SEPA Low Value Payments, through high quality analysis and Agile design artefacts, effective stakeholder management and providing solution delivery team with deep business insight, all enabled by appropriate tools and aligned to DevOps working.

You will be responsible for:
• Elaborating business needs and requirements into functional, IT and Systems requirements
• Analyzing and defining appropriate IT solutions, working closely with Product Owners, developers, testers
• Documenting relevant solutions proposals into appropriate artefacts; support with architecture elements where required
• Ensuring technology solutions align with global software delivery architecture principles
• Perform root cause analysis of failure elements & recommend improvements

Requirements:

• Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. IT Business Analyst or Business Consultant
• Banking experience, especially in the Payments area
• Ability to work with different business users such as product owners, project managers, developers, architects
• Experienced in analysing business requirements and turning them into effective functional solutions
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
• Highly analytical with excellent attention to deliver the high quality products
• Ability to learn fast and rapidly assimilate new ideas
• Understanding and awareness of the key activities required for all phases of the project life-cycle
• Knowledge of the project collaboration tools like Confluence and Jira
• Being business orientated with a technical background

Nice to have:
• Knowledge and experience of one or more Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban
• Past working experience in Bank or any other Financial Institution (Payments systems – ideally
Low Value – SEPA)
• Familiarity with the Sepa Payments Regulations, i.e. EPC, Sepa Rulebooks
• Role relevant qualifications and certification i.e. Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP),
Certified Foundation Level Business Analyst (IQBBA) or similar is desirable but not essential
• Knowledge of SQL in order to query the database and retrieve the relevant data
