We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client's behalf for a person in the following role:

Android Engineer - Power Usage Optimization

Responsibilities:

- Analyzing and problems’ root cause finding
- Analyzing power consumption
- Establishing and evaluating key metrics to monitor power consumption
- Optimizing app and OS costs through power consumption
- Participating in Harmony OS subprojects development and refactoring
- Co-working with HQ and local experts’ team on an issue analysis and improvements

Requirements:

- 4- 5 years of experience with Android OS and application architecture
- Experience in power consumption analysis and improvements
- Good command of Java/C/C++ (standard libraries)
- Knowledge of toolchains, cross-compilation, profilers, debuggers, Power monitor usage, Battery Historian, CDRX sleep mode
- Knowledge of Gradle/Ant/Make Build
- Communicative English
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

Nice to have:
- Prior work and experience in the delivery or maintenance team (ideally the one dealing with a mobile phone system’s maintenance)
- System profiling and optimization techniques
- Knowledge in the design and measurement of HW
- UML diagrams practical knowledge
- Knowledge of hardware architectures: Arm Cortex-A/m4 and other architectures
