Compliance IT brings together all areas of financial crime risk management and is dedicated to implementing the most effective global standards to combat financial crime.

FCTM IT is using cutting edge Big Data technology to build tools that enable a global network of Investigators, Intelligence Analysts and Data Scientists to conduct effective intelligence-based investigations. The team covers 20+ live IT Systems and includes +400 IT professionals.

Global Social Network Analytics (GSNA) platform can identify potential financial crime networks in near-real time based on data from billions of transactions in more than 50 countries.
The team is based across China, India, Poland and the UK.

The Team:

Our team is currently looking for skilled individual to act as Cloud Specialist. We are responsible for running a unified and global capability to identify, analyse, and investigate financial crime risk. The current FCR IT architecture is based on a large on premise Hadoop cluster for data management and analytics.

We have started a very ambitious programme to migrate data & analytics onto Google Cloud Platform.

Role Overview:

The purpose of this role is to support existing Qlik-based applications, develop new applications as directed by the business users, and improve the quality controls and efficiency/automation across a delivery. There are a number of dashboards in the portfolio therefore the developer needs to be able to multitask and self-manage their workload to a degree.

The role requires ensuring that both server and their own workstation environments are operational in a non-development environment and meeting stringent information security requirements. In the production environment, the role requires the individual to provide support to the level 2 team.

The developer will be able to help shape the delivery process and expected to use their experience to meet the three key themes of the project – 1) Efficiency, 2) Effectiveness, 3) Constant Improvement.

Key Accountabilities:

The GSNA project is the next generation of tooling for combatting financial crime. Covering investment banking, commercial banking and retail banking globally. The architecture comprises Hadoop, elastic search microservices and relational databases. Currently it is hosted on premise, and has a migration to GCP planned.

Work with development teams to improve automation around development and deployment pipelines, across all architectural tiers (this will be on prem and on GCP),
Work with development teams to define best practice around testing,
Collaborate with central teams (architecture, security, engineering, networks) who are responsible for delivering baseline cloud architecture,
Ensure that department’s requirements are taken into account,
Collaborate with other development teams that are also working to deliver use cases on GCP e.g. share best practice.
Quantify effectiveness of improvements to development and deployment processes.
