Infrastructure Optimisation Specialist


The purpose of the Infrastructure Optimisation Specialist role is to act as an SME for the Network Tower covering services charges including but not limited to Dealerboards, Telephony, Video conference and Branch/Campus Network. The role holder will look for efficiencies and opportunities to reduce the recharge cost without impacting service quality and delivery. The role holder will also help on recharge MI reporting using the existing Oracle database across all Towers

The Infrastructure Optimisation Specialist is a key member of IT, which is instrumental in the delivery of multiple, multi-scale, IT Transformation programmes & projects to achieve strategic business outcomes. The job holder will support the development of change that aligns with Group Standards, corporate & business strategy, meets business objectives and satisfies all relevant regulatory and operational risk controls to deliver value to the WPB business.

The successful candidate will collaborate across teams within IT, they will also be required to assist in the integration of complex operational activities with communications to management where necessary. Key to the success of the role will be to build an internal network of stakeholders therefore communication and influencing skills are important

The role holder may also be required to contribute to the development of Group standards and identifies and implements new practices, processes and technologies where required, therefore an appreciation/qualification in Finance will also be required


Technical Skills:

SME knowledge of tools supporting IT infrastructure (Oracle Database)
Able to create credibility within IT and viewed as a trusted advisor.
