Service Operations Network Analyst

IT Operations manages the IT infrastructure and supporting services that are critical for our employees and customers, such as cost-efficient hardware, system software, middleware and databases, Data Centers, Voice and Data networks, Cloud & External Infrastructure services, ATMs, Desktops and other devices.
Within IT Infrastructure, Telecommunications provide services covering networks, security, voice, video, contact centre, trade floor and media recording.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Service Operations Network Specialist.
;Primary responsibility to provide day to day design /support to ensure the network infrastructure is maintained to agreed service levels and standards
;The Network Specialist will work within the Network team and will be a subject matter expert on at least one piece of Network topology
;The Network Specialist is responsible for the provision and/or 2nd/3rd line design / support of services on a national or international network utilising network technology equipment. This can include both the development of new functions and facilities and the on-going systems support of live systems
;This may involve working as a Lead technical specialist on projects involved in planning, research, evaluation and design of network infrastructure.
Degree level education or equivalent preferred
;English language required
;Experience as a network administrator
;Understanding of Network services, hardware and software and general IT Support principles, to be able to prioritise work load
;Have sufficient knowledge of IT Operations understanding policy, processes, procedures and systems deployed
;In depth knowledge of best practice within a support environment
;Practical experience in one or more of the following disciplines: LAN and WAN technologies, Network Routing & Switching, Voice Network Technologies, IP telephony solutions, Voice over IP Solutions, Network Security architectures, traffic analysis, capacity planning, modeling, network troubleshooting and problem resolution
;Have excellent knowledge of the project lifecycle
;Ability to work under pressure, deliver within limited timescales, and proven ability to prioritise against competing demands
;Ability to actively participate in Crisis response and recovery
;Strong analytical skills to quickly assess situations, their impact and options for resolution
;To be able to prioritise faults, estimate fix times
;Good team player skills which rely on honest open communication and reliability of individuals to strive to deliver an excellent service to the customer
;Experience managing large Regional Network project implementations
;Experience of working in a global team
;Proven ability to articulate complex issues concisely
